What to check with your Mumbai venue
- Sound limits and timing. Outdoor amplified music in Mumbai generally has to stop by 10 pm, and many hotels apply their own decibel limits indoors. Confirm the cut-off time before you plan the running order.
- Licences. Live performances at commercial events may need music licences. Your venue or event partner should confirm what is required.
- Stage and power. Check stage size, ceiling height, power supply and whether the venue's in-house sound is good enough or the band needs its own.
- Load-in and sound check. Hotels in areas like BKC, Worli, Lower Parel and Powai often have fixed load-in windows. Plan a sound check at least two to three hours before guests arrive.
- Green room. Bands need a private space to change and wait, close to the stage.
