The talented and content driven multilingual actor R. Madhavan is a two-time Filmfare winning actor , writer and film producer who has entranced his fans with impressive performances in both Bollywood and Tollywood. He is one of the few actors with a pan-India appeal, acting in films across seven different languages.
He first gained recognition in the Tamil film industry through Mani Ratnam’s successful romance film Alaipayuthey (2000).
His Bollywood career kick-started with ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ (2001), followed by ‘Rang De Basanti’ (2006), ‘Guru’ (2007) and ‘3 Idiots’ (2009), which went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all times. His other box office hits include ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011) and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ (2015).
Madhavan has also worked as a film producer, first making ‘Evano Oruvan’ with
Leukos Films before setting up his production company, ‘Tricolour Films’, to produce ‘Saala Khadoos’ (2016).
