A Chartered Accountant, who was an All India Rank holder, Mohandas Pai is a visionary leader in the realms of finance, education, and philanthropy. Mohan is the Founder-Trustee of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an organization he co-founded in 2000. Under his guidance, this mid-day meal program has grown to feed over 1.6 million children daily across 13,500+ government schools in twelve Indian states, significantly impacting education and nutrition for underprivileged children.
As the Chairman of Aarin Capital and Manipal Global Education, Mohan plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of education and investment in India.
In addition to his corporate roles, Mohan serves as the Chairman of the FICCI Skills Committee, where he advocates for skill development across the nation, and as the President of the All India Management Association, driving management education and practices forward. His expertise in regulatory and financial matters is further recognized through his chairmanship of the Regulatory and Financial Technology Committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Mohan’s career began with a 17-year tenure at Infosys, one of India’s largest and most respected software services companies.
Beyond his CFO role, Mohan headed several departments, including Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Infrastructure, and led business units such as FinacleSM, Infosys’ core banking product. His contributions were critical in shaping Infosys into a global IT powerhouse.
