Dr. Malvika Iyer is an internationally recognized disability rights activist, social worker, author, and motivational speaker whose inspiring journey has become a symbol of resilience and empowerment. After losing both her hands in a grenade accident as a child, she transformed personal adversity into a powerful mission dedicated to inclusion, accessibility, and social change. Her life story reflects extraordinary courage, determination, and an unwavering belief in the power of human potential.

A passionate advocate for the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities, Dr. Iyer has worked extensively to challenge stereotypes and promote accessibility across education, employment, public spaces, and fashion. She earned her doctorate in Social Work from the Madras School of Social Work in 2017, with her research focusing on the stigmatization faced by individuals with disabilities in society.
