Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler recognized as one of the country’s most accomplished athletes in international wrestling. Known for his determination, discipline, and competitive excellence, he has represented India on some of the world’s biggest sporting platforms and achieved remarkable success throughout his career.
He gained global recognition after winning a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and became the first Indian wrestler to win four medals at the World Wrestling Championships. Bajrang has also secured multiple gold medals at the Asian Games, Asian Championships, Commonwealth Games, and Commonwealth Championships, establishing himself as a dominant force in the sport.
Bajrang Punia also became the first Indian wrestler to achieve the World No. 1 ranking and remains the only Indian wrestler to consistently hold that position for two years.
