Underground Authority is a trailblazing alternative rap-rock band from Kolkata, India, known for blending protest poetry with reggae, alternative rock, rap rock, and hard rock. Formed in 2010, the band has carved a unique niche in the Indian music scene with socially conscious lyrics and powerful performances that address political and anti-capitalist themes.

The original lineup included Santhanam Srinivasan Iyer (EPR) as lead vocalist, along with Adil Rashid, Soumyadeep Bhattacharya, and Sourish Kumar. In 2023, EPR departed to pursue a solo career, and Siddhant Sharma, winner of MTV Hustle Season 3, joined as the new lead vocalist. The band gained national recognition as finalists in the second season of India’s Got Talent, where their rap-rock remixes and dynamic stage presence captivated audiences across India.
