Nayar is best known for implementing a unique management philosophy called “Employees First, Customers Second” during his tenure at HCL Technologies. This philosophy challenged the traditional hierarchical structure of organisations and placed a greater emphasis on empowering and engaging employees. 

He has also served as governor of ICT, a member of the global advisory board of Women Leaders and Gender Parity Program as well as a community partner of the Forum of Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum. Vineet is the author of the critically acclaimed management book Employees First, Customers Second: Turning Conventional Management Upside Down which has sold 100,000+ copies and has been praised by some of the world’s leading business leaders including the late C.K. Prahalad, Tom Peters, Gary Hamel, Victor Fung, and actor Ram Charan.

Vineet currently serves as a senior advisor to the McKinsey Leadership Institute, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and is on the advisory panel of the Global Talent Competitiveness Index established by INSEAD. He is a member of NPC Tech Platform, National Focus Group, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
